Sandburn Hall

A special thanks to Carolyn and Laura who served me and catered to my every need in the restaurant - I am vegan and nothing was too much for them. Food is amazing and Chris the chef came out to introduce himself, personal touches make all the difference. Reception team were so attentive I ended up staying 4 nights instead of one. Thanks again to you all for making my very much needed break very welcoming one.

We booked Sandburn Hall for our wedding on the 25.10.25 and they were brilliant. From the exceptional customer service, to the amazing food, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better day. Katrina our wedding co-ordinator was so lovely and helpful throughout the entire process and set everything up exactly how I envisioned. Attended my daughters wedding here. Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Can't fault anything. Everything was so organised. Immaculate and so efficient. Had a maintenance issue with my room which was resolved straight away. Top place to get hitched. Lovely surroundings.

We booked sandburn hall for our wedding venue for our October 2025 wedding and it was the best thing we ever did. Everything was perfect. The venue is stunning, the hotel is beautiful and the staff are amazing. Our day ran perfectly and smoothly thanks to our amazing wedding coordinator Tara and all of the staff involved. We had a perfect day and we can’t thank everyone enough. The booking and planning process was super easy and the communication was great. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we felt our wedding was safe in sandburns hands. All of our guests loved the venue and many are planning to return for a little staycation. Had recent stay with my daughter. All the reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff were amazing, very helpful and kind dealing with our various requests. Good food choices, views and surroundings lovely, handy for York and shopping parks etc.

What an amazing venue! I highly recommend attending a wedding show or visiting to view the rustic but modern grand hall. We got married here a couple of weeks ago and it could not of gone smoother! The ceremony hall was set up perfectly and plenty of staff were helping to make it possible. Tara, our wedding coordinator kept good communication with us throughout the process, keeping us at ease during one of the most stressful events of a couple's lives. The food was absolutely lovely! We opted for antipasti boards, lamb and hazlenut torte, all of which were nicely portioned out and presented beautifully. The transition from ceremony, breakfast and reception went perfectly and we were amazed at how lovely everything looked. We had nothing to complain about, and are so happy we got married at Sandburn.

This was by far the nicest hotel ive ever stayed at, the way the hotel looks outside and in, the way the staff are dressed and how friendly and helpful they were, the food in the restaurant was amazing, its set back off the busy road so nice and quiet, close to York and some big retail outlets. Me and my wife had a premium room, which was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the en-suite was lovely with a walk in showers and decent sized bath. We could hear other guests walk by our room but it was very rare and everyone there was respectful. You get tea and coffee and milk etc each day. All in all a fantastic place to stay. Would definitely recommend

Beautiful hotel. Lovely room overlooking the lake king room. Room size was OK . Was expecting separate shower . Staff were amazing polite nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for 3 days and would return. Would recommend.
